The death toll of the Israeli Operation: Autumn Clouds has raised to 47, after nine Palestinians were killed on Saturday. So far, in repeated incursions and aerial attacks, 250 have been injured, including 38 in a critical condition.
Security sources said that Mazin Shabat, 38, was killed when an Israeli sniper shot him near the Erez crossing point, north of Beit Hanoun. Shabat had been arrested by the Israeli forces in the area, but was released a short time afterwards, only to be shot by a sniper, just minutes after his release. His relative, Zahir Shabat, was also critically injured.
Isra-a Talal Nasser, 15, was shot in the head by Israeli forces yesterday.
In Al-Awda hospital, north of Jabalia refugee camp, Ammar Riziq died of wounds sustained when Israeli jets first attacked the Beit Hanoun area.
Earlier on Saturday, two brothers were reported to have been killed by Israeli forces in Beit Hanoun. Ali and Issa Naouq, 23 and 18, were killed in the Abd Rabbo area, east of Beit Hanoun. According to Palestinian security sources, the brothers were activists of the Izzedin al-Qassam Brigades, the nebula of militant groups affiliated with Hamas.
Also on Saturday, Raed Siyam, 22, was killed, and three others injured, one critically. It has been alleged that the four men were also al-Qassam Brigades activists. They were also attacked in the Abd Rabbo area, east of Beit Hanoun.
Adwan hospital sources said that many injured Palestinians were transported to the hospital with their limbs amputated by a new type of weaponry, previously unseen in the Gaza Strip.
On Saturday morning, Loay Bournou was killed by Israeli forces while traveling in his car. Ibrahim Basiouni was also killed in the east of Beit Hanoun.
