International organizations ask world to recognize Palestinian nacional unity government
March 22, 2007

The international anti-occupation of Palestine network has asked the Spanish government and the EU to recognize and support the Palestinian national unity government.

The network, grouping a number of Spanish organizations, demanded an immediate end to the "cruel (economic) embargo" imposed on the Palestinian people and a repair to all damages resulting from such an act that led to an acute humanitarian crisis especially in the Gaza Strip.

The network said in a statement that the tightened economic boycott doubled the suffering of the people of Palestine especially when they have already been suffering for a long time under a "savage" Israeli occupation, whose army launches systematic terror campaigns against the helpless Palestinian civilians.

The statement also asked for cancellation of the priority partnership agreement signed between Israel and the EU because Israel does not respect conditions of this partnership. It also asked the world community to halt arms transactions with Israel until it ends its annexation of Palestinians lands, expansion of colonies and construction of the racist, separation wall, which all-in-all reflected a racial policy based on racial cleansing
