An international legal organization affirmed that the Israeli occupation government was still controlling the Strip despite their apparent pullout and demolition of former 21 Israeli settlements in addition to the free Palestinian movement in it.
The Euro-Mediterranean network for human rights had sent a delegation to investigate the actual situation in the Strip and to probe the authenticity of the Israeli pullout of it.
The delegation concluded, according to a statement released by the network few days ago, that the Gaza Strip was still suffering of countless Israeli restriction measures, especially on the economic investment sector, which caused deterioration of the Palestinian living conditions and increased poverty rate among the Gazans.
For his part, Raji Al-Sorani, director of the Palestinian human rights' center, insisted that the Palestinian people were still in bad need for the international community to implement international laws regarding the Palestinian question, including ending the occupation, halting of the apartheid, separation wall that divides the West Bank, among other laws.
Israel pulled out its troops and settlers from the Strip after years of steadfast Palestinian resistance that greatly exhausted the Israeli army, but kept control over land, air, and sea crossings, rendering the alleged pullout "meaningless", as they remain controlling ins and outs of the Strip, affirming that one of their disengagement plan's elements was not to enable the Palestinians have control over their lands.
