The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have killed more than 720 Palestinian children in the course of the Aqsa intifada raging since late September 2000, according to a legal report.
The report issued by the Palestinian branch of the international movement for the defense of children accused the IOF of committing war crimes for continuous violation of Palestinian civilian rights including those of children.
The report charged the IOF with use of excessive force in addition to random and deliberate killing that ended the lives of those children and maimed hundreds others.
It pointed out that the IOF arrested 3,000 Palestinian minors over the same period of whom 300 were still incarcerated.
Ever since the start of the intifada, education for Palestinian children has turned into a "daily struggle", according to the words of the report, rather than a basic right.
The IOF curfews, closures and bombing of educational institutions cost Palestinian children many schooling days, the report elaborated.
It underlined that the IOF pullout of the Strip did not stop aggressions on civilian installations in Gaza and underscored that aerial strikes on the strip spread panic in lines of the civilians especially children and obstructed their educational march.
