The death toll in Rafah rises to 12

A Palestinian source said that two Palestinians were killed on Thursday, at Rafah, raising the death toll there to 12, including two children. 29 others have been injured, 11 of which seriously, in a new Israeli escalation of violence in the southern Gaza Strip. Palestinian medical sources said that 'Iz Abu Jazar 22, Ahmad Shahin, 24, Isam Al-Bashiti, 20, and a baby girl Shahd Sheikh Al- Id, 3 days old, were killed by the Israeli attacks.

The Israeli army had claimed that his operating forces had killed two Palestinian gunmen while they were trying to plant an explosive device.

The latest of the Israeli raids targeted a crowd of Palestinians at the town of Al-Shokah, in eastern Rafah, resulting in the deaths of two citizens and injuring three, including a child.

Palestinian medical sources confirmed that Abdel-Rahman Abu Sneinah, 20, Yousef Abu Mur, 22, and Suleiman Rmailat were killed by Israeli missiles and their bodies arrived to hospital in several pieces.

In the immediate aftermath of the early morning attack on Thursday 5th, eight citizens, including a child, were killed and 26 injured after an Israeli incursion to the town of Al-Shukah, near Yasser Arafat Gaza airport in southern Rafah. The first victims were: Anis Salem Abu Awwad, 12, Zial Suleiman Sheikh Al-Eid, 23, Adnan Abu Libda, 22, Wael Atiyyah Younis, 24, and Mahmoud Anwar Kilab, 21.
