Democratic Front Announces Death of Military Head of Northern Gaza National Resistance Brigades

A new crime was committed by the forces of Israeli occupation with the cowardly slaughtering of battle-hardened national leader Ibrahm Abu Elba, who was a member of the Central Leadership of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) and the northern Gaza Strip head of the of the National Palestinian Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the DFLP.

Statements by the Israeli army to the press assured that the comrade’s murder was a decision by Zionist Secretary of War, Ehud Barak, in response to the martyr's outstanding role in combat actions against the occupiers and for the DFLP’s daring “Road Toward Palestine” operation, which caused several Israeli troop losses this past August.

The crime against Ibrahim Abu Elba clearly reveals the decision of the Israeli government to perpetuate its policy of terrorism and open war against the different Palestinian organizations.

The DFLP, at the time of bidding farewell to its military leader, reaffirms that this crime by Israel will not go unanswered, and it promises to intensify resistance in the face of Zionist aggression until achieving freedom and independence.

The tens of thousands of Palestinian who came out to say goodbye to the hardened combatant inspire their comrades of the Democratic Front to continue along the path of the struggle until expelling the occupiers and recovering the rights of the people.

The Democratic Front calls upon all Palestinian organizations to render their loyalty to the martyr Ibrahim Abu Elba and to all of the martyrs. The DFLP also urges those organizations to act in a serious and rapid manner to return to national dialogue and to put an end to division, to recover unity and to close ranks before an enemy that daily slaughters our people.
