Democratic Front Desires Agreement Reached in Saudia Arabia Will End Internal Conflict

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) calls for the implementation of the Mecca Agreement and the termination of all of the murder, kidnapping and destructive operations which have occurred between the Al-Fatah and Hamas movements.

The DFLP also calls upon the signatories of the Agreement to return to national and global dialogue to arrive at a true unity government, with a common political program derived from the National Agreement Document, with which concurrence was achieved between the different Palestinian organizations and based on the Resolutions of Arab and international law.

The DFLP affirms the necessity to decree laws of percentage representation in the electoral processes, guarantee unity and the democratization of social institutions, to be liberated from absolutism and the policy of the quota. It insists on the importance of the meeting of the Supreme National Committee, created to monitor unity and internal agreements, as well as to activate and develop the PLO.

We want that the Mecca Agreement cross the road within the framework of a government of national unity able to face the challenges, solve the serious internal problems, put an end to insecurity and alleviate the extreme poverty and unemployment in the Palestinian territories, as well as to combat corruption, continue reform and guarantee the sustaining of our people’s resistance.
